In Silence is a body of work in reaction to the avalanche of youth mental health challenges facing our community.
The aim of the work is to give a voice to young people, a safe environment to stimulate conversation, to destigmatise mental illness and create dialogue in the community at large to work towards solutions that encourage mental fitness and enable those suffering and their loved ones to ask for help.

In Silence presents each Untitled work as a figurative portrait that embodies the collective and complexity of mental illness. Each portrait is deconstructed and reconstructed uniquely, as every experience is individual.
Too many lives are lost, too many lives are forever fragmented, mental illness is a quiet affliction many endure in silence.
