FLOATING TWINS

2014

Part of a series Identically Unique

Floating on the surface of the water is a heavenly sensation, especially on a hot summers’ day.

I chose water for its many symbolic meanings and to embrace the twins, to hold up their differences along with their obvious similarities. The body language identifies each personality quite clearly, starkly showing the individuality of each twin.

This is part of an ongoing study on identical twins and examining the uniqueness of each individual, and how they perceive themselves.

Shot on Fuji Velvia 50 ASA 120 film and crossed processed.

Using my fifteen-year-old Holga camera not tapped up to add all the imperfections of what the camera brings.

I have included a hand written account from each twin, the result of being asked to write down their differences from each other.
